Hillsborough Community College
TAMPA, UNITED STATES
Brief information
Founded in 1968 as one of 28 community colleges in Florida, Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is now the seventh largest community college in the state. As part of the Flordia College System, the university pursues the mission of providing students with affordable and high-quality studies.
The range of courses offered by the HCC consists of over 160 associate degree programs and further education courses. The Honors Institute’s Honors programs, which are only open to very dedicated and gifted students, are particularly highly regarded. The students attend smaller courses, receive managerial coaching and are supported in applying for scholarships. Those who successfully complete an honors program can usually continue their studies at a renowned university or college.
With an associate degree from HCC, students are guaranteed a place at one of Florida’s eleven universities. There are also transfer agreements with various universities in the USA. Engineering, business administration, liberal arts, education and health courses are very popular among transfer students.
According to AbbreviationFinder, the community college is characterized by small course sizes, close supervision and a diverse student body. In partnership with Hillsborough Community College, we can place students in Florida for associate’s degree or professional development.

The college town of Tampa
Tampa is a city in Hillsborough County on the west coast of the US state of Florida with almost 330,000 inhabitants. It is bounded by two bays: Old Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay, which unite to form Tampa Bay, which then empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The Hillsborough River, which is the city’s main source of drinking water, also flows past Tampa. The climate is subtropical with annual maximum temperatures averaging between 18°C and 35°C; minimum temperatures rarely fall below 0 °C. If you are in the city, you can visit three beaches within a few minutes, which are among the top ten in the country. Here you can snorkel, scuba dive, sail, fish, kayak or just spread out your towel and have a picnic. The parks in the city also invite you to relax almost every day. Interesting places in the city that are worth visiting include the Sulfur Springs Water Tower, which is visible from afar and is somewhat mysterious, or the Florida Aquarium; the Historic Hyde Park district with many architectural highlights, the Henry B. Plant Museum, the Tampa Bay History Center, the Museum of Science and Industry and much more. Busch Gardens is a popular theme park with rides, shows and animals, or you can visit the annual Florida State Fair. In addition, there is, for example, the Gasparilla Pirate Festival with various parades, live entertainment and fireworks, which is a little reminiscent of Mardi Gras, or you can watch a film at the historic film palace Tampa Theater.
