The university city of Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland in north-eastern Australia and, with around 1.7 million inhabitants, the third largest city on the continent.

Because of the subtropical coastal climate with warm, humid summers and mild, dry winters, Queensland is also called the “sunny state”; from November to April the humidity is extremely high. Above all, the area around Brisbane is worth a visit: Surfers Paradise, Fraser Island or the sapphire-blue Moreton Bay with its white beaches are popular and beautiful destinations. The spacious gardens of the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens are also worth seeing. When it comes to culture and sport, there is always a lot going on and live music casts a spell over everyone on a tour of trendy cafés.

The mix of city life and nature makes Brisbane an appealing destination for any Australian traveler.
