– Ingredients –

  • Peels of 3 to 4 oranges
  • 1l water + 120g water additional
  • 180g sugar

– Mode of preparation –

  1. Start by cutting the peel from the orange.
  2. Then put a litre of water in a saucepan, pour there the peels of the orange and let simmer for 10 minutes. At the end of that time, strain, then pour the water away and reserve the shells.
  3. Then place in the pan with the remaining 120 grams of water along with the sugar and bring to the boil until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Then add the peels of the orange and let it boil slowly for approximately 30 minutes until the peels are soft and translucent.
  5. Remove the shells and leave to cool on a sheet of parchment paper. If you like to feel a layer of sugar, you can pass the shells by sugar while they’re still wet. When they are dry is to only save in a jar.
