The Next Nexus Could Become in The Hands of Huawei and LG, Do Nothing of Qualcomm?

These days have appeared some rumors about the next generation of devices Google nexus, and according to these preliminary reports the company’s Mountain View would be already working on those devices with two manufacturers: Huawei and LG.

Although other names had emerged among the possible candidates to work with Google on those devices – Lenovo and a surprising Xiaomi among them – seems that as it happened last year Google launched a smartphone and a tablet that will succeed the current Nexus 6 from Motorola and HTC Nexus 9.

LG already has experience in this area: the South Korean company was responsible for making the Nexus 4 and 5 Nexus and is therefore an “old acquaintance” from Google in this field that theoretically would be responsible for the successor of the Nexus 6 smartphone. Huawei has however never participated in none of the devices of this family, and everything points to it would be responsible for manufacturing the new tablet of the family.

One of the most interesting rumors of these new devices lies in the fact that none of them would be based on traditional processors of Qualcomm. The reason: that both LG and Huawei have their own SoC, that it could be used on those devices. While LG has the NUCLUN to compete directly with the Snapdragon 810, Huawei has the SoC Kirin, which also could be a very interesting component for those future Nexus.
