Remember what we said about price and availability of the Acer Iconia Tab A510?Forget it as well: they were denied both the release in April that the price of 500 € for a commercialization in March to 399 €. And nobody complains.
To nitpick this information relates to the French market but we have no reason to believe that things will turn out differently, at least with regard to the price.
Remember that the A510 will be a tablet, 10.1 inch display with nVidia Tegra 3processor, 32 GB internal memory (expandable via microSD) and improved power management than the previous generation, which saves on 20-25% of energy bringing autonomy to approximately 18 hours, thanks to the generous 9800 mAh battery.
Also sounds good with 3 +, Dolby Mobile technology while the rear camera will be from 5 megapixels. Also the 3 g option alongside the more classic Wi-Fi, and always good the communication ports, with miniUSB and miniHDMI. The operating system is of course custom Ice Cream Sandwich, in part from Acer Ring, which basically is a launcher/task manager, and with preinstalled LumiRead ebook reader, and Polaris Office for processing documents.
The price of 399 € refers to the Wi-Fi version only, and could therefore easily rise up to 499 € by adding the module 3 g or higher memory capacity; in any case, this is a figure quite competitive when compared to 600 € of Transformer Prime (which, however, has the keyboard dock), which currently looks like his natural rival.
Expect definitely one of our comparison of the two, as soon as the Acer Iconia Tab A510 becomes available.
